Frequently Asked Questions

Does Img Name Fixer upload my photos?

No. All processing happens in your browser. Your photos never leave your device โ€” nothing is sent to any server.

What photo formats does it support?

JPG, HEIC, PNG, and WEBP. HEIC files are renamed without format conversion โ€” the .heic extension is preserved in the output ZIP.

How does it decide the order of my photos?

By default, photos are sorted by EXIF capture time โ€” the exact moment your iPhone shutter fired. You can also switch to Manual sort and drag photos into any order you prefer.

Can it recover my original IMG_#### numbers?

No. The original camera roll number (e.g. IMG_3847) is stored in the Photos app database, not inside the image file itself. Img Name Fixer creates a fresh clean sequence starting from a number you choose.

Is there a photo limit?

The free version handles up to 25 photos per batch. Unlock unlimited renaming for a one-time $4.99 โ€” no subscription.
